Benjamin Lawton is a composer and classical pianist from Wiltshire, England. After discovering a love for classical music in his teenage years, he immersed himself in orchestral repertoire, teaching himself to compose through score study, analysis, and reading whilst developing his skills as a classical pianist under the mentorship of concert pianist, Nurry Lee. 

In September 2023, Benjamin began formal training on the composition course at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, where he is currently in his third year, studying under Mark Boden, Joseph Davies, and John Hardy. During his studies, several of his chamber works have been performed and recorded, as well as two orchestral works, ‘The Cotswold Way’ in November 2025 by the RWCMD Symphony Orchestra, and ‘The Wreck of Helvetia’ by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales in February 2026.
